Goals

Elegantly solving challenges within the Umeda Campus.

Union Corporation implemented an industry-academia collaboration project with the Department of Space Design, Faculty of Robotics & Design Engineering at Osaka Institute of Technology, as part of the first semester classes in 2024. The theme was to 'Elegantly solve challenges within the Umeda Campus.' Students identified issues that they felt were inconvenient within the Umeda Campus, which was established in 2017, and sought ways to solve them through design. Once their ideas began to take shape, they visited our showroom and factory to consider design and material selection in order to make their ideas more concrete.

Student Presentations and Award Ceremony.

During the final lecture, presentations and an awards ceremony were held by the students in the presence of Professor Seiichi Shiraga and Associate Professor Ai Akai, alongside Advisor Tetsuo Kure from Josho Gakuen Educational Corporation, and our President and CEO, Junzo Tateno.

This design competition provided an opportunity not only to identify and design solutions for challenges but also to consider how to effectively communicate ideas and their features, and how to engage the audience.
